I love how VERY large (no pun intended) magazines are giving plus size models a chance to shine. I always felt that plus size models ALWAYS look better then the skinny ones. They are more realistic and often times they are barely pushing a size 12...they are just tall or heavy set. The W magazine and Vanity are doing plus size spreads. These are not any average magazines. You can't even buy the W at your local grocery store. I'm happy for this!! I really am.
Now I'm in between with this whole "Precious" girl. Yes, she was amazing in the movie. Yes, she has a very pretty face. But I often wonder if she is getting THIS much play because people feel kinda sorry for her. I mean, Mo'Nique is a big girl who is EXTREMELY beautiful and she has NEVER graced the cover of a high fashion magazine..let alone get her own spread. I do agree that her age may have something to do with it. She is relatively young. But there are SEVERAL plus size teens. Needless to say I am extremely curious to see if this plus size fad will continue. These skinny models who stick their fingers down their throat are gonna start retaliating.
