My Thoughts on Horse Hair.

I won't totally say its disgusting because I use to rock it! But people who ALWAYS wear weave..Ummm, it kinda grosses me out!!! Embrace your hair!! Rihanna, Keri Hilson and Halle Berry have all put short cuts on the map!! Hellloo Amber Rose!!! Ain't NOBODY balder then her and look how BEAUTIFUL she is!!! So it comes down to this. For 2010 can we embrace our hair!?? I mean I know I'm sounding a lot like Tyra..but homegirl is right!!!! Black women have BEAUTIFUL hair..Why don't we wear it out and let everyone see???

The reason of this post is because I was faced with something HORRIBLE on my way to work today!!! I was on the train and was admiring this girls navy blue Ralph Lauren baseball cap. She had some blue suede shoes to match and it was realllyy cute. So as I was paying a little more attention to detail I noticed that this girl had a weave. Ok, fair enough. Whether it was sewn in or glued in was beside the point...because then she had it in a pony tail. Now for all you weave wearers out there...Ummm I'm pretty sure you aren't suppose to see the braid in the front and back of your head. But yes, this is what I was subjected to at 8 am. A young girl who was lost and confused. CLEARLY she was unaware of the fact that your weave was suppose to cover the braid. But noooooooo, her friends weren't nice enough to say "Hey so-and-so, ummm we can see your track!" I'm sure she would have appreciated that piece of advice. Because of people like her I am saddened when I see dry weaves. I am saddened when your ponytail is red and the your hair is black. It really and truly hurts me. Can we improve in 2010??? Please!
